Guided Forest Therapy Walks
Reconnect with Nature
Immerse yourself within nature to reduce stress and improve well-being
In today's fast-paced world, many of us find ourselves increasingly disconnected from the natural environment. The pressures of daily life often leave little room for moments of peace, reflection, and connection with nature. Our Guided Forest Therapy Walks offer an opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle, immersing yourself in the serene and healing embrace of the forest. This unique experience, invites you to slow down, awaken your senses, and cultivate a deeper relationship with the natural world.
What is Forest Therapy?
Forest Therapy, also known as forest bathing, is a practice that originated in Japan in the 1980s as a form of preventive health care and healing. It involves taking a slow, intentional walk in the forest, engaging all your senses to fully experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the natural environment. Unlike a typical hike or nature walk, forest therapy emphasizes mindfulness and sensory immersion, helping participants to relax, de-stress, and reconnect with the natural world.
What to Expect on a Guided Forest Therapy Walk?
On our guided forest therapy walks, you'll embark on a mindful journey through nature, beginning with a warm welcome and introduction from the guide. The walk features a series of sensory invitations designed to engage your senses fully, helping you see, listen, smell, touch, and even taste the forest environment, if applicable. Moving at a slow, deliberate pace, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural surroundings. You'll have the opportunity for reflections and optional sharing moments that will deepen your connection with the group and nature. The experience concludes with a closing ceremony, leaving you feeling grounded and rejuvenated.
Who Can Participate?
Forest therapy walks are suitable for people with all fitness levels. Whether you’re an experienced outdoor enthusiast or someone who rarely get out into nature, you’ll find the pace and structure of the walk accessible and enjoyable.
